Print Communications Earns Three Golds at 2008 Tower Awards –

Specialty Print Communications – a complete direct-mail
production resource and national print company – earned three
Gold awards for its marketing initiatives at the Tower Awards
ceremony May 7. The awards are an annual event of the Chicago
chapter of the Business Marketing Association.
Two of the
awards were for Specialty’s 2007 Total Communications Program
and its three-drop “We Are Direct” direct mail program. The
third award was for Specialty’s new corporate identity.
The award-winning communications were part of an extensive
re-branding and re-positioning campaign undertaken with Symmetri
Marketing Group, a Chicago-based business-to-business marketing
communications firm.
“These awards reaffirm the solid strategy
and execution of the re-branding and the direct-mail campaign,”
said Dustin LeFebvre, SPC’s Executive Vice President of Strategic
Initiatives. “Our new identity and our direct campaigns generated
hundreds of business opportunities that have helped us strategically
grow our business.”
The SPC-Symmetri collaboration brought
sophisticated color and geometric rigor to SPC’s corporate
identity. The “We Are Direct” campaign combined striking black-and-white
photography with eye-catching details – such as a bold red
flag atop the classic mailbox -- to promote SPC’s direct-mail
expertise and the “Red Flag” thematics of SPC’s DMAOI trade
show presence. “We Are Direct” was part of the larger, Gold
award-winning communications program, which included an overview
brochure and three case studies.
During the trade show, 800 attendees
completed response cards, of which 48 percent were considered
top shelf. “We strove to make SPC’s communications eye-catching,
clear and compelling, to support SPC’s positioning as “Built
To Respond,” said Carl Triemstra, Symmetri Marketing Group
President. “Three Tower Awards are more proof that together
we succeeded.” |
